Roberta Tinch, MHA, FACHE, is President of Inova Mount Vernon Hospital and Vice President and Administrator, Inova Musculoskeletal Services.
Roberta is an accomplished healthcare executive with more than 15 years of experience leading hospital operations and employee relations, while developing physician partnerships that have enhanced team engagement and the patient experience.
Prior to joining Inova, she was Chief Operating Officer at HCA Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, VA, a 300-bed hospital with complex service lines such as Comprehensive Stroke Center, Robotic Surgery Center of Excellence, Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Inpatient Rehab. Her previous roles include Chief Operating Officer at HCA Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Spotsylvania County, VA, and Associate Chief Operating Officer at HCA Brandon Regional Hospital in Brandon, FL.
Roberta has a strong commitment to the communities in which she lives and works. She holds several board and leadership seats including The University of Mary Washington's College of Business Advisory Board, Vice Chair of Families Forward of Virginia statewide board, Vice Chair of Mount Vernon Springfield Chamber of Commerce, and is the Vice Chair for the Northern Virginia Urban League. She has done extensive volunteer work with the YMCA, the March of Dimes annual March for Babies and currently with ACTS in Prince William County.
She holds a master of health administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor of arts in anthropology from the University of Virginia.
In 2023, Roberta was named one of Modern Healthcare's Top 25 Emerging Leaders in Healthcare and was a finalist in March of Dime’s Heroines of Washington awards.
