Beena joined the Inova team in 2003. She received her Bachelor's degree in Human Biology and Anthropology, summa cum laude/presidential scholar, from Temple University. She went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University. Beena received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University. She has worked primarily in an orthopedic setting. Her special interest is in treating spine pathologies.
She incorporates various manual therapy techniques including myofascial release, joint mobilization/manipulation, muscle energy techniques and dry needling into her treatments, along with therapeutic exercises. She has advanced training in the dry needling procedure. serves on the advisory board for the Inova Spine Institute at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. Beena is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and a certified clinical instructor through APTA. She is also STAR certified in cancer rehab.
