About Christine D. Bussey, MD

Dr. Christine Bussey is a specialty care physician board certified in cardiovascular medicine who joined Inova in 2002. She has a special interest in the management of women’s heart disease, coronary artery disease and congestive heart failure.

Currently, Dr. Bussey serves as the Medical Director of Inova Cardiology’s outpatient practices and is a member of the Inova Schar Heart and Vascular Leadership Council and ambulatory physician leadership. She is also part of the provider panel for the Inova Women’s Cardiovascular Health Program.

Dr. Bussey became interested in cardiology because she felt it provided the greatest opportunity to positively impact the morbidity and mortality of the number one killer in America. Her goal is to help patients live longer, happier and better than in generations past by incorporating preventive care measures and, where needed, medications and procedures.

A native of New York City, Dr. Bussey currently resides in Vienna, VA, and has three active children. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends at sporting events, plays, movies and cultural activities.
