Stacy graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Marymount University and joined Inova Physical Therapy Center (IPTC) - Springfield in 2018.
Prior to graduating with her DPT, Stacy was a Director of Meetings for a national trade association and personal trainer. After one of her personal training clients was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, Stacy decided to follow her passion for health, wellness and neurodegenerative diseases and pursued a DPT. She is a member of the Outpatient Neurology team at IPTC-Springfield. Stacy is a LSVT BIG certified clinician and certified Rock Steady Boxing coach. Stacy is committed to lifetime of learning and advancing her skills as a physical therapist. Stacy is also a Graston Technique provider.
Stacy received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Communication studies from Clemson University. Stacy is as a member of the American Physical Therapy Association Academy of Orthopedics, Academy of Neurology (Neurodegenerative Disease special interest group), Geriatrics section, and Federal Physical Therapy section. Stacy is also involved in the Northern Virginia Chapter of the Virginia Physical Therapy Association serving on the executive committee as Finance Chair.
In her spare time, Stacy enjoys cooking, traveling and gardening. She also volunteers as a DPT in the Aid Stations at Marine Corp Marathon and Historic Half marathon and mentors students from her Doctor of Physical program alma mater Marymount University volunteering in the Aid Stations. Stacy also volunteers to support veterans service organizations that provide assistance to combat wounded service members and their families.
