Theodore (Ted) Compton graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science in accounting. After graduating, he spent 18 years working as a CPA in public accounting and financial and risk management consulting.
After having his own physical therapy in 2018, Ted was inspired to make a career change, in order to invest his talents into helping people live more active and pain free lives. In August 2019, Ted entered Northern Virginia Community College's (NOVA) Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program and immediately became active in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), serving in both national and state positions. Ted's engagement with the APTA helped him earn NOVA's prestigious Service, Engagement, Academics, and Leadership award in the spring of 2021. Following graduation in 2021, he was elected to serve as Virginia's PTA Caucus Representative with APTA for the 2021-22 term. Ted is excited to join the same team at the Inova Physical Therapy Center in Springfield that inspired him to make his career change.
Ted has been married to his wife Dana since 2006. Together, they have two daughters, Maddie and Hannah. They enjoy being outside, running, hiking, kayaking, and vacations to national and state parks to enjoy nature's gifts.
