About Trent I. Hope, MD

Dr. Trent Hope is a primary care physician board certified in family medicine and sports medicine. He joined Inova in 2023 as a fellow and has been practicing since 2018.

Prior to his new role, Dr. Hope was a fellow in primary care sports medicine  at Inova Fairfax Family Practice Fair Oaks.

Dr. Hope completed medical school at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. He completed his residency in the Medstar Health – Georgetown/Washington Hospital Center Residency Program in family medicine.

Dr. Hope’s clinical areas of interest include primary care, preventive care and sports medicine (musculoskeletal injuries). His patient care philosophy is based on meeting his patients wherever they may be in their journey to better health. His goal is to help his patients stay active and make consistent, daily improvements to their health.

In his spare time, Dr. Hope interests include baseball (go Dodgers!), football, tennis, golf, snowboarding, live music, drawing, and travel.
