Our Services
Inova Fairfax West Infusion specializes in intravenous (IV) treatments for ambulatory, self-care patients. We offer our patients a comfortable and convenient location to receive their treatment, close to the physician’s office. Patients receive their infusion in a comfortable recliner with heat and massage available. We offer cable TV and free Wi-Fi/Internet access to help pass the time while receiving treatments. Additionally, patients are free to bring the own personal electronic devices (e.g., tablets, smartphones, laptop computers). With an on-site lab and pharmacy, your treatment team will be able to answer any questions you have and will ensure the highest levels of safety and service. There is plenty of free parking just outside.
We are under the medical direction of the physicians and nurse practitioners of the Inova Medical Group Hematology Oncology practice. Patients will continue to receive the personalized care and connection to their physicians that they are accustomed to. In most cases, the physician visit and infusion session will be coordinated same day. Therapies and treatments provided include, but are not limited to:
- Chemotherapy/biotherapy administration
- IV hydration and electrolyte replacement
- Blood product transfusion
- Immunosuppression prophylaxis and infection management
- Central venous catheter care
- Clinical trials with access to investigational therapies
- Patient education
- On-site lab draw and testing
- On-site pharmacy and pharmacist

Your Stay
Each patient is welcome to bring ONE visitor to the infusion room during their treatment. Space is limited. Visitors must be over 15 years of age. No children or infants are allowed. Patients and visitors must not have any contagious illness. Most of our patients are very susceptible to infections. We ask that you please not come to the infusion center if you are ill with anything that might be contagious. Please notify your physician of your illness and call us to reschedule your appointment. We encourage family members to participate in patient treatment. With certain medications, we may request a responsible adult stay for the duration of treatment in case the patient requires a ride home. Patients are welcome to bring in any food and drink that they would like to have during their treatment. We have a refrigerator and a microwave for use. We do not provide any meals. Tea, coffee, and water are available.
Parking is free and covered parking is available. The site is wheelchair accessible and is located on the ground floor of the building.
