About Lee I. Blecher, MD

Dr. Lee Blecher is a primary care physician board certified in family medicine. He joined Inova in 2020 and has been practicing since 1998.

Dr. Blecher grew up in Blacksburg, VA, and enjoys being a product of a small college town. After finishing his medical education at the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine in Richmond, VA, Dr. Blecher completed his family medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh St. Margaret Hospital. He then completed a family medicine fellowship and obstetrics and gynecology fellowship at Pinnacle Health’s Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, PA.

Dr. Blecher then joined the excellent group of physician educators at the Inova’s Fairfax Family Practice residency program. He is a clinical professor of family medicine at the University of Viginia School of Medicine and VCU School of Medicine. In addition to teaching and seeing his own patients, he is also the medical director of student health services at the Inova campus of VCU School of Medicine and VCU School of Pharmacy.

Dr. Blecher’s clinical areas of interest include women’s health, family planning, gender-affirming care, office procedures, management of abnormal pap smears, adult and pediatric ADHD management, general preventive medicine, and chronic disease care.

Dr. Blecher enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife and two great children. He also enjoys listening to music and traveling when he can. His favorite movies are The Godfather, Goodfellas and Dances with Wolves.
