BECOME A CERTIFIED PHLEBOTOMIST
10-Week Training Program
Phlebotomists are a vital component of the care team, collecting blood for donation or for testing. Blood specimens can be used to diagnose illness, evaluate the effectiveness of medications, or determine whether a patient is receiving proper nutrition. You can take a certifying exam to become a certified phlebotomy technician – and we can help!
Inova Phlebotomy School is a part-time, 10-week training program that teaches the art of venipunctures via a lecture series, hands-on skills lab, and clinical internship at an Inova care site. It is designed to equip students with the skills, education, and confidence they need to pass the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Phlebotomy Board of Registry Certification Examination.
