Mission Statement
The Inova Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program’s overall mission is to care for the diversity of patients and cardiac pathology in Northern Virginia and surrounding communities by educating cardiovascular disease fellows in the practice of cardiovascular medicine. Our goal is to train the next leaders in clinical practice, clinical investigation, and medical education. We will assist the fellows in developing the knowledge, skills, and attributes necessary to become excellent independent practitioners and lifelong learners. Our Fellowship program will provide a supportive environment to acquire the necessary knowledge, procedural skills, and clinical experience to achieve these goals under the mentorship of dedicated expert faculty.
Fellowship Objectives
- Comprehensive training program to teach and develop cardiovascular consultants of highest quality who are highly skilled in clinical care, research, and teaching
- Graduates will be highly competitive for entry into faculty of top academic centers or advanced fellowships
- COCATS 4
- BE: Level 2 Training for Echo and Nuclear
- Level 1 Cardiac Catheterization
- Elective: Peripheral Vascular (RPVI)
