Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is the largest hospital campus within Inova Health System, with 923 inpatient beds. The campus is also home to Northern Virginia's only Level 1 Trauma Center and is certified by The Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The rehabilitation services department is an integral part of Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. Our team members include physical, occupational and speech-language therapy professionals as well as specialized technicians in orthopedics and rehabilitation.
If you are admitted to the hospital, your medical team will encourage you to maintain your prior level of mobility, self-care, communication and nourishment while your medical condition is being treated. If you have an illness or injury that has significantly changed your strength, mobility, communication, feeding or self-care abilities, your medical team may recommend skilled physical, occupational or speech therapy services. Therapy services begin with a comprehensive evaluation and development of a treatment plan designed to work toward the goal of returning to your prior level of function, including preparation for your hospital discharge.
Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is also home to the 226-bed Inova L.J. Murphy Children’s Hospital, including the area’s largest, most comprehensive Level IV NICU. Our team of specialized pediatric rehabilitation team members provide physical, occupational and speech therapy services unique to the specific needs of infants and children to facilitate recovery, development and hospital discharge.
